Music Research

I am Doctor of Philosophy in Music Education. My PhD research (2022) focused on the musical experiences and memories of Finnish seniors in relation to the music they have sang and heard during their childhood and school years.

My research interests are in music and well-being. Arts and culture can benefit health and well-being. I am also interested in music's role in different generations' everyday life, especially focusing on singing and singalong.
